Camps Bay Beach is one of 5 exclusive beaches within walking distance from each other in the beautiful city of Cape Town. A short drive from the city centre, it's worth delaying your flight to catch this sight. A stunning and famous beach that offers trendy bars,a selection of the best restaurants Cape Town has to offer.

On my recent visit to Cape Town I decided to take my parents out to the Sea Point/Camps Bay/Clifton area for a change. As usual Camps Bay was just beautiful. This huge, clean, long stretch of white sand is just beautiful!! There is always some form of activity taking place on the beach - no wonder it is so popular!! Ice cream vendors still come around selling their ice creams yet all the papers and litter is always in the bins - not on the beach!! The location is spectacular and the large variety of restaurants, shops, accommodation in Victoria Road adds to the buzz of Camps Bay.

There are few locations that can rival the beauty of Camp's Bay Beach. Sparkling white sand and very clean and organised. The view of the Twelve Appostilles is breathtaking. There are many excellent restaurants, cafes and bars all along the strip to enjoy although you could struggle to find parking on the weekends

Camps Bay is excellent for sundowners. Honestly, the sidewalks buzz with young people also looking for a great cocktail and a glimpse of the sunset. The restaurants are vibey and the music starts early. There is a great variety of cuisines and foods available - from the high end to the regular.
On top of that the beach is wonderful for walks and gazing at the sky but I wouldn't swim too often - too cold- and with the beach being so open, it's not incredibly private.

Now this is where you go to find a party! Every kind of restaurant and all the hotels have got a table open (if you get there early) and a cocktail ready and waiting. Don't go there for peace and quiet, although a walk on the beach is peaceful no matter where you are!

This place feels like home to me. Cocktails at Caprice, Kauai, Vida e Café across the road and parking practically on the beach.
Showers on the beach, some grass areas if you prefer and enough toilet facilities.
Water's flippen cold though so not ideal swimming conditions - the kids don't mind however.
Lifeguards on duty and terrific sunset views.
    Big thumbs up!

Although the water is very cold and finding parking is near impossible in December it remains one of my fave places in Cape Town. Excellent cocktail bars and restaurants all along the beach front. It's also one of the places frequented by celebs so you never know who you might run into. If you want to experience the laid back Cape Town lifestyle Camps Bay is the place to do so.

Definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in south Africa, perfect for a sunny day, super clean beach and nice crisp cold water, super popular so can get a bit crowded with tourists but definitely worth a visit when your in cape town.

Camps Bay is a wonderfully gorgeous place to visit. I recently visited Cape Town and for a bit of fun took the Hop On- Hop Off bus to see the sights that I don't usually see, and Camps Bay was one of the stops. I had the best ice cream ever, took some fantastic photos plus the view is quite exceptional - highly recommended.

Ok its an amazing beach if the winds not blowing! Just amazing ... and the cafe's and bars on the strip well!! Love them! Just get there early to get a spot on the beach, parking is a mission so idd cab it or catch a buss (unless you really early) and if its windy ... Choose ... Clifton 1, 2 ,3 or 4! But yea white beaches are AMAZING ...

Great beach "miami style" however there are way too many vendors that walk around shouting to sell you ice creams and cool drinks, over all good experience however they need to put a restriction on the amount of vendors allowed on the beach
