Fish Hoek Beach (Fish Hoek)

I've counted more than 30 dogs on fish hoek beach. The no dogs sign just not adhered to and no officials at all to enforce. Such a beautiful beach but I have small kids and these dogs are so playful that they jump all over the kids and traumatise them. In the last 10 minutes I've witnessed 15 more dogs arriving.

Fish Hoek beach is one of the nicest beaches, with regards to the shark nets, life guards and even a beach front restaurant. Not much more could be asked for, just remember water and sun tan lotion.

This beautiful beach is visited by swimmers, surfers, people collecting shells and those wanting to have a bite at Snoekies on Fish Hoek Beach. Unless you know you have to go over the railway line, through the little kiosk where you get charged for parking etc., it's not too easy to find but... when you do get there, it's well worth the visit!! The long stretch of white sand allows for a really relaxing walk, you can sit on the rocks to the right hand side of the beach and watch all the surfers being challenged by the waves or you can watch the little ones building sandcastles on the beach - it really is lovely. The beach is clean, toilet facilities are good and if you dont feel like sitting on the beach, go to the restaurant which has indoor and outdoor seating, have a delicious meal and relax!! Dont swim too far out though - people have been eaten by sharks at Fish Hoek!!

A fantastic beach with Snoekies restaurant for the best fish and chips you will ever find. It is also great for swimming as it is protected, plus it is close to the boats for a trip to seal island, or even just hang around and watch the seals in the bay jumping around. You might be lucky enough to get to feed one.
