I drive past this stadium at least once a week because of work. I remember when Boogertman & Partners, the Architects, first mentioned that they were involved in the design of this stadium for the 2010 World Cup as if it was yesterday!! It remains a wonderful looking stadium - it is always clean, the municipal workers were recently changing lights/light fittings in Nasrec Road outside the stadium and you still get a sense of pride at how much was achieved for the 2010 World Cup.

I love this place! It brings back the FONDEST of memories of the 2010 world cup... a time where our nation was knitted together like never before. It is beautiful, and the design is inspiring. I have been lucky enough to have watched a few sporting matches at the stadium, as well as live music concerts. It makes a wonderful venue for concerts as well, able to host many many people. The vibe is always festive and joyous, and the beer (whilst controlled) is flowing! During the even the security is always beefed up so I have never personally felt at any danger. It can be dangerous in the surrounding areas, so exercise caution when visiting!

We had a recent tour with the company here. The building was amazing. I also went for a events here and must say to was enjoyable. It does get busy so go early to park or else make us eof transport if possible. During our tour, it was disappointing to see that the locker rooms were in poor condition, broken doors/benches and even the toilets were not well maintained. Pretty sad considering amount of money spent and how new this place was. As an event viewer when it does get booked, its great.

This stadium might not be as spectacular as Moses Mabida or Green Point, but it certainly is best from a sporting experience. With close to 80,000 capacity and often the host of the final stages of competitions we are spoilt in Johannesburg. Security is amazing inside the stadium but can be an issue outside. As far as possible use the public transport system.

This stadium is mind blowing! Although it is super far and they could assist a bit more with getting around, they try and they are improving on every visit.

I have been to Soccer City for sports events and music concerts, it is such a special venue... Well done on creating a world class arena that is so versatile and beautiful!

Been here for the Derby weekend and it reminded me of the 2010 World Cup. Despite Pirates losing, the mood was festive. The stadium was packed to the rafters but there were no incidents. As for the stadium, this is an amazing facility that is comparable with the best in the world. I would have preferred having escalators and elevators, as the walk to the top is tiring. All in all, I loved the experience.

Having missed the World Cup to watch soccer live I decided to watch the Afcon opening match, which was the first time I'd been at a soccer stadium. When they tell you the vuvuzelas are loud, you don't quite believe people until you experience it yourself and that's what brings the stadium alive. Even though Bafana didn't play well, the crowd was supporting them throughout the match with "ooohs and aaahs" everytime Bafana got close to scoring or saving a goal. This experience of watching a live soccer match is priceless.

Another amazing stadium in South Africa. One of the finest soccer stadiums in the world. I've been here many times for concerts and soccer games, including the Soweto derby. Always clean, highly secure inside the stadium and park-like outside. It is worth a visit but I'm not sure if there are day trips for visitors. Unlike Moses Mabida, there is not much to do here for a visit. During events, park at official parking or take the Rea Viya or Metro rail. It is so much more convenient.
