    good day, I have been trying for the past two months to contact Verulam testing centre regarding the alternate week ends open; I am unable to come in due to work commitments basically if I take the day off to renew my license: I might get unpaid leave or a discipline letter.     telephone number

    good day, I have been trying for the past two months to contact Verulam testing centre regarding the alternate week ends open; I am unable to come in due to work commitments basically if I take the day off to renew my license: I might get unpaid leave or a discipline letter. I am unable to get through on the number supplied on the internet. please assist

    Maybe my comment below was a bit harshly worded, so instead of saying " a deal go down " I should have said I watched as he short circuited the queue and promptly went straight to an examiner.sitting in the far corner. This while everyone else sat patiently in the queue waiting for their turn. It would not have attracted attention if he was not one of the persons who was told earlier that he must come back tomorrow at 6am.

    Verulam Testing Ground

    Maybe my comment below was a bit harshly worded, so instead of saying " a deal go down " I should have said I watched as he short circuited the queue and promptly went straight to an examiner.sitting in the far corner. This while everyone else sat patiently in the queue waiting for their turn. It would not have attracted attention if he was not one of the persons who was told earlier that he must come back tomorrow at 6am.

    I see there is no "0" under the ratings pity.
    What an experience it was in Feb 2017 getting my drivers license renewed.
    The anti white sentiment of all the staff there is very obvious to say the least.
    As for our friend Ash he is the biggest idiot I've come across.
    The scull duggery going on there is also blatantly obvious, Ash is working with some
    scruffy looking character that's parks his car outside near the food cart and
    together with an examiner that sits in the far back corner I watched a deal go down
    with a young well built Indian guy which I assume was getting a learner's license.
    I think the end test station was for learner's licenses.
    Having spent 5 hours there, in the rain, gave me total insight into the goings on.
    The two ladies that do the drivers license renewals in the center test station sit and chat
    on their cell phones whilst the public must wait to be tested or even while they
    are in the process of doing the tests. Never again !!!

    Verulam Testing Ground

    I see there is no "0" under the ratings pity.

    Poor Intel

    Pathetic "Service" at Verulam centre

    This centre never answers their phones. Four hours later I still could not get through to them. This is ridiculous. It now means that I have to take time off work to go there personally.

    27 June 2016 Took 2 hours to have drivers licence renewed An imporovement from 5 years ago when it took 5 hours
    More difficult for others to cut the queue but it still happens . One officer spent a good 45 minutes with an applicant then asked another officer to do that persons fingerprint and photo with the explanation that his machine suddenly broke down.. then when that applicant went to the cashier to pay I lerarned ,as I was directly behind him ,that he did not have a drivers license on the system... so the big question is why was this not picked up by the officer inside who wasted everyones good time by processing someone who ought to have been turned away at the first instance or told to apply for a drivers licence and not for the renewal of one !!! Hope this was an isolated incident of what smacks as attempted fraud and corruption.

    No Respect for People

    A full days work for a full days pay

    I would like to know what time the offices are supposed to close on the 24th December? I went at 10:05 to collect my card license and was told they closed at 10:00.

    Like with many things in life, a lot changes. But it is always sad when things change drastically for the worse. I recently went to this testing station after many many years and the state of this place and the service (or lack thereof) is shocking. My cousin tried many times to contact the station to find out about her license. The phone just rings or if someone answers they are rude to you. On one occasion the person who answered asked her why she could not just come in and check for herself. To avoid taking time off work and the recent delay with post office, my cousin wanted to make sure her license was ready. So we decided to just go to the station to check, and I being on holiday at the time, decided to tag along.Staff are unfriendly- you would think it costs them to smile or be nice.Queues are long and service is slow. Staff spend more time chatting among themselves, sipping on there coffee than actually doing their jobs and helping the people. Many years ago, this is the station where i wrote my learners and got my drivers licence. Back then the process was smoother, people friendlier and service efficient. So it is shocking and sad when you see how times have changed. I guess you see it happening all around you, but when you previously had a good experience and associate some memories to a place, and now you see how bad things have gotten, it does strike a chord or two.Service delivery (the lack of) is such a big issue for us these days. It seems with every step forward that we take, we go 2 steps back...sad but true.

    Times have changed

    Service at its worst

    Went to collect my license card today and found that you first have to wait for the 3 ladies to finish their private conversation and swallow the apple she was chewing like a cow before getting their attention. While looking for my card the conversation didn't stop. A simple task took more than 10 minutes to complete. No wonder these departments need a day off from work to visit.

    Good day

    there are some areas where this branch is quite effective,however the areas of calls is another story.
    I suggest that they have email services and customers can then send their mail through and can
    be called to sort out the issue.Its difficult sometimes to get transport coming there-for example,I made arrangements
    to come through today and my driver could not make it(that's not anyone of your workers problems-however,we go through issues as well.
    Have been trying to rebook my learners license for another date.I also tried on mon.
    the assistants deal with situations every day and should make a note of issues and ask the customers for their advice on how they can be more helpful and efficient-because they are in direct contact with them.
    Also they should consider allowing refunds for bookings-sometimes there are things that happen that are not in our control.
    I believe that certain things can be sorted out in better ways-some workers don't go beyond their call of duty and that's where part of the problem lies.
    I appeal to all workers-please consider your methods and whether your family had poor customer service-how would you feel?

    Why does Verulem licensing dep have phones

    Why do they give Verulem Licensing dept phones if no one every answers them? Surely in this age of technology there must be a web page where one could see if their license was ready for collection
