Pinelands Police Station
Police Stations
I reported my car a white citi golf which was stolen for the 2nd time at Mutual Park Pinelands on the 19th January 2018. When I got home that evening I received a call from the detective who opened the docket that the registration number I gave is incorrect as they cannot pick it up on their system. The morning of the 20th January 2018 I went back to Pinelands police station with the correct registration number and constable on duty that day was very helpful and explained the process to me. That documents will have to be sent to be Pretoria for the docket to be updated.

I just called Pinelands police station now on the 06th February 2018 to speak to constable Mntuyedwa who put in charge of the case. She told me that she still has to fax or email the documents to Pretoria?? After all this time how long does it take to fax documents? Which means the process of looking for my car has not started yet almost a month after it was reported as missing because faxing the documents required to updated the docket is not a priority for constable Mntuyedwa?? If she is not interested in the case why didn't she hand it over to someone else. Isn't there a process of checking progress (or holding them accountable for slacking in their jobs) of cases that the constables are working on?
